Here's something the few protesting pastors should review before following through with their (illegal) protest of SFC offerings.

What a week it was in Charlotte ... an estimated gathering of 17,500 Pentecostal young people witnessed and participated in amazing things. Among them:

• scores of young people were filled with the Holy Spirit throughout the event (both in the altar times and throughout the arena during the times of worship)
• four young people were baptized in a fountain in downtown Charlotte on Thursday night
• 1,300 young people worked in 104-degree heat to help refurbish and renovate downtown parks and recreation areas in Charlotte on Friday afternoon
• 200 young people assembled school supply backpacks for disadvantaged children in the Charlotte Mecklenburg County School district
• 10,000 meals were provided for Second Harvest Metrolina through the canned goods collection and monetary donations of the NAYC attendees
• A $14,000.00 cash offering was received to assist in building four clean water wells for African communities in Rwanda, Africa.
• Multiple boxes of needed supplies were donated by North Carolina youth groups to be given to our own youth-oriented ministries - Lighthouse Ranch for Boys (Loranger, LA) and Tupelo Children's Mansion (Tupelo, MS).
• On multiple occasions, praise and worship songs were stopped as the thousands gathered in the arena worshipped God - no music, no prompting, and no motivating. Simply heart-felt worship to God.

Thankfully, several have written about the great results of NAYC:

"The testimonies given at church Sunday inspired all of the adults as our kids shared their life-changing experiences ... We had ten new visitors at youth service tonight on the heels of the Youth Congress with kids inviting their friends to our youth meeting." (Pastor, Tennessee)

"Our church is fairly small, but our youth came home from Charlotte fired up. I wasn’t there, but they all came back determined to create enough moments to cause a movement. They have already had meetings regarding outreach – things they are starting themselves." (Pastor, Tennessee)

"Our youth group is taking 40 of our 75 young people out into our community this coming weekend to do some extensive community service. We are excited about what the Lord is going to do through this." (Pastor, Ohio)
