How do I deal with hurt?
I pray about it.....I talk to friends about it, but some things a person just can't talk about because the pain is too deep...... Sometimes I read or come to message boards and post and that takes my mind off my hurt.
I've read the books. I know the "canned answers" but nothing helps but the grace of God to bind up our spiritual wounds.
Proverbs 18:14
The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?
BUT here's another verse with HOPE:
Romans 8:18
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
II Timothy 4:5 tells us to "endure afflictions" - I believe this means spiritual/emotional as well as physical.
If we are going to reign with Him, we're going to suffer with Him. So, hurts are going to come our way. No use to think it a strange thing.
