The Baptism of the Spirit, Then and Now

Heard this question, and thought it was one to be concidered.

What is the difference in the baptism of the Spirit in Acts 2, and the baptism of the Spirit today?

Please consider that the Acts 2 baptism resulted in Cites being turned upside down, notable healing and miracles taking place, and persecutions on the believers being a result.
