Every state in the United States allowed slavery at one time. Most of our founding fathers practiced slavery. Why esteem them?
Why would we want to hold on to any of those things connected to slavery and such flawed and hateful people? I think the answer is obvious.
Why hold on to the constitution that originally included the 3/5ths compromise? It's connected to slavery right?
Even more so for me, my home state of Virginia was deeply connected to slavery just as long as any other state in the union. Why hold on to home right?
Or is it just civil war era slavery stuff that gets your feathers in a ruffle?
