I'm still going through Alter's
Psalms. I'm just over half way through.
I am also reading
Jerusalem: The Biography by Simon Sebag Montefiore.
Pretty good so far. A very graphic, hard to read depiction of the Roman siege of the city and it's eventual fall right near the beginning. It's no wonder that a preterist can see Jerusalem being destroyed by Titus as the "Great Tribulation".
