I'll agree only to the point that Senators are not briefed like the President. What he said is still relevant to how he's acting today.
Snowden should be given a medal and a parade. The gov't is way over the line on the data it's collecting -- NOT from foreign terrorists -- but from it's OWN citizens. If it wasn't for Snowden, Congress wouldn't have known the extent of NSA's collection. What, you think Clapper and the other spooks are going to be honest and say what they're doing. You're incredibly naive if you think that. We found out Clapper lied to Congress, under oath, only after Snowden leaked the information.
Good grief.

Snowden is a glory hound, not a hero. The information coming from this is all over news including the actual search parameters the NSA use to find terrorist. The media is laying out the actual "keywords" we use to track terrorist communications. This is beyond stupid, it is idiotic. Now the terrorist know exactly how we find them and know how to avoid detection. Why? Because a bunch of paranoid people with tinfoil hats looking for black helicopters are playing chicken little.
First off, who in the technological world we live in today really believes we have any true privacy to begin with across the world wide web??
Second, unless your a terrorist, who is reading your stuff anyway? You think somebody is reading your "sweet nothings" to your lover? Or stealing grandmas sweet potatoe pie recipe that aunt Berta sent to you last week? Wake up, these people want terrorist, your daily life is too boring for those that deal with covert ops. Oh the arrogance, like your life matters.
But that's ok, when the next 911 happens and they say "hey look, they exploited information they found out during the Snowden affair" I don't want to hear nobody say "Obama dropped the ball". Or even worse, when they successfully attack and kill dozens of troops because they found a loophole in our intelligence.
