This is terrible, but it is the result of throwing out the word of God. If the Word of God is not the authority, there will truly remain no authority, all law will rest on the judicial system. In which case all that is needed is a liberal judge, and you get the stamp of approval on your immorality.
I agree with another of your posts in this thread in which you said we won't see this type of behavior become accepted anytime soon.
However if society as a whole eventually accepts homosexuality it will eventually devole into accepting all manner of sexual sin, including pedophilia.
Its not as though this has never happened, we read of how in Rome that homosexuality was so widespread that even some of the emporors parade young boys around publically whom they molested, and here was no punishment.
As homosexual acceptance grows in this country, so will sexual perversion. Obviously as homosexualaity is accepted morality will grow worse, as will pedophilia, seeing how that so many homosexuals themselves were sexually molested.
Furthermore, many cultures which have accepted homosexuality in the past, also accepted pedophilia, polygamy, incest, and beastiality. This type of behavior was much more widespread in the pagan cultures of the old testament, as gentile cultures have become more "enlightened" since Christ came. What I mean by that statement is that the gospel so affected the world, that despite the fact many peoples continue in disobedience, there remain some general moral restraints and christian influence, on modern society as a whole. However, because man is depraved the more they reject the revelation of God, the more God will take the restraints off, and "give them up", see

Personally, I think that we are a long way off from this widespread sexual debachery on the most extreme levels, but I do think we are headed in that direction, as does any people who "Know God, but glorify Him not as God, neither were they thankful. But they became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.... Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves." I do believe that Christ will return before we ever see that day.
