Coonskinner's last day as Kansas District Youth President.....

Well, today will be the last day as "El Presidente" for the Skinner. Today is our District Conference and he is too old to be president anymore. Kind of bitter sweet in the fact that I hope whoever takes his place will continue on in the fashion, as in growth, that we have started.

I think we will be the teachers for Senior Camp since no one else is able to take off for a week, but I think it will all work out.

We started out with 32 kids registered at camp and last year we had 125!!! We had a lot of fun and tried to make it interesting. We had Bro. Doug White and Bro. Steve Buxton last year. This year we are supposed to have Bro. Cody Marks. It will be about 15 miles from my house and that will be kewl!!!

Anyway, pray that God has His way today.

Bro. CS,

Now you can truly be called an "Elder" and expect your AARP card to come in the mail to you. Congratulations on your retirement!

Blessings, "Elder" Rhoni

I'm sorry to hear about this Sister Coonskinner. I am not sorry that hopefully the coon will have a little more free time but I am sorry for the District. This good man cannot be replaced. His contribution is immeasurable and whoever replaces him will have a very high standard of excellence to strive for. I dispair.

Please tell my Kansas Friend that NLYP said..."Welcome to the Geriatric side of Youth Ministry"

NLYP used to mean - New Life Youth Pastor
Now it means
No Longer Youth Pastor

LOL

My favorite memory of working with Youth was when I could stand and decline nomination due to being 36.

After about 33, I could not keep up in the games, and hurt myself a few times.

No regrets at all the young people I witnessed receive this like gift. No regrets at the workers in churches today because of the time we spent together on the Youth Team.
