We are in a bad way due to the Liberal policies of the past 80 years of almost continuous one party rule. However, China is sitting pretty because they have a very huge cash surplus. And, how is most of that cash held? It's held in U.S. Treasury notes.
If they were to dump those notes on the market causing the U.S. notes to tank in value, the notes themselves would hit bottom before China could even move significant parts of its assets. They would be stuck holding huge stockpiles of worthless Treasury notes that they themselves had caused to become worthless.
They are smart enough to realize this. They are only "rich" if their number one trading partner is also "rich." Whether we like them or not, we are in a kind of symbiosis with the Chinese - and I certainly like their cooking.

Re: The Mosque Should Be Built!
Would my assertion that God would not be pleased by those who claim to be christians be true.
Any spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh..........
Should we just openly accept this religion if it is so wrong, did the apostles stand against false religion, they even stood against the orthodox Jews, who which was the original religion in a lot of those areas where they preached.

The MB morphed into Islamic Jihad led by bin Laden's second in command before he joined up with al Qaeda. Al Qaeda destroyed the WTC. That's actually "fairly direct."
By their very nature, these terrorist cells have no "Direct" connections to anyone. Remember how tricky it was just trying to prove to the Taliban that al Qaeda actually DID destroy the WTC?
Whether you realize it or not, there is a well funded and well connected movement to spread Islam through the United States. Whenever the Muslims become the majority in an area or when they get power they begin to persecute Christians and other "kufr." Give me one example where that has NOT happened.
Wii offered Malaysia, however the news from Malaysia is rather sad. Sudan? Somalia? Eritrea? Northern Nigeria? Bosnia? Anywhere?
You've said that before, however I still admire the folks at Masjid Manhattan and I hope they get a place with a good lease.
You'd have to fill me in on Copeland, I know he's wacky but I was unaware that he had blown up any civilian jet liners. Similar thing with Swaggert. In the end, the person he hurt most was himself. Neither man has done violence to another human being, that I'm aware of.
You appear to be discounting the value the lives of the victims of Islamist terror by comparing people like Ayman Al-Zawahiri to Kenneth Copeland. There's a huge and fundamental difference.
I stand by the implication of hypocrisy that I pointed out your comment carried. To follow your reasoning, Martin Luther King was a bigot because he had a dream that violated the deeply and sincerely held beliefs of some of his fellow Americans.
According to your reasoning, Andrew Goodman, James Earl Chaney, and Michael H. Schwerner were bigots because they tried to interfere with the social customs of people whose only crime was being "different" then they were.
According to your reasoning, anyone who stands up to a bully is a bully themselves and the real bully is just "misunderstood" and "persecuted." I'm actually not surprised. It's because of voices like yours 40 years ago that people felt justified in denouncing MLK, Goodman, Chaney, Schwerner and so many others.
I stand by freedom. Real freedom. Not the "cave in and let the Nazis win" kind of "freedom" espoused by Liberals like Charles Lindbergh in the 1930s and 1940s.
"Stalin had rights. He was just trying to make the world a better place... at least he tried!"
"Osama bin Laden wants peace. He's been trying to bring peace to the world his whole life. 'Islam' itself can be understood as 'peace.' You just have to submit."

Quotation Marks. Oops
Ok, so HIS FATHER was a questionable character. Have you ever been connected to a questionable character? I have. Wanna hear my dad's track record? Not pretty. I don't like being judged by those I've been associated with.
Whether or not Swaggart or Copeland or whoever have been bombed or bombed anyone or whatever, that's not the point. The point is, they are connected to you through their supposed faith in Christ, yet you don't want to be judged by their histories, do you? But if you want to bring the track record of death into the picture, Christianity does have a history of that, doesn't it? The Crusades immediately come to mind.
I don't understand your Martin Luther King, Jr. reasoning. Nor do I understand your reasoning about bigotry. Well actually, the remainder of your post makes no sense to me.
Bigotry is really a simple thing. It is the dislike and/or mistreatment of a group simply because they are a certain classification, such as a certain religion group, a gender, or a culture. It is NOT ok to exclude Muslims from the American mainstream just because they are Muslim. Are there "bad muslims"? Yes. Are there "Bad African-Americans"? Certainly. Is it ok to believe in the depravity or either group simply because they are Muslim or black? Of course not.
I'll stand by what I've said. If one is biased against one due to one's religious beliefs, one is bigoted.

I'm not asking you to get personal about your "connections," but would you say that you have at least "disassociated" yourself from the questionable activities of others if not come right out and denounced them?
Imam Faud refuses to do so.

You asked how I would like it if someone turned down a zoning or special use permit of mine because I am "of the same faith as Copeland, etc." I said that this would be a whole lot different than turning down the Park51 mosque proposal because of the close associations to terror groups and Faud's refusal to denounce those and other terror groups.
It's apples and oranges.

You don't understand Osama bin Laden as being a sort of "bully?" You don't see militant Islam as being a bullying tactic used to spread that faith? You don't see the history and legacy Islam has had as it spreads across the globe? You don't see a problem with burning down Christian churches in Malaysia or bull dozing thousand year old Buddhist temples because they never got a "building permit?"
Instead, those Christians and Buddhists who speak out against these crimes are your "bullies" and "bigots?"

Building 7 (The Command Center for the Twin Towers), fell to the ground in heap of rubble in less than 10 seconds and wasn't even hit by a plane.
Also, nowhere in history has a steel framed skyscraper collapsed because of fire, the 911 Commissions conclusion as to why the buildings fell, free fall, with virtually no resistance into a pile of dust.
The best film out there dealing with this is, "Press for Truth", done by the Jersey Girls. These 4 women lost their husbands on 911, going before the 911 Commission with no success on getting a "Strait Answer".

I missed that post... sorry N4S. But dude, please.
Yes, I did look into it. Yes I did examine the "evidence" from sources like Alex Jones' site and others.
No, I don't buy any of it. It's not just kooky, it's actually a repugnant and reprehensible charge and allegation. Anyone who brought down those towers and planes must be hunted down and removed from the earth. Plain and simple.
You think GWB and/or "the government" did it? Then why are you at home sitting on your hands? Go after the perps.
**** And I only say that because your inaction over the past 9 years speaks much louder about what you really believe then your suggestion of these conspiracy theories. Personally, I believe we "went after the REAL perps" beginning on October 7, 2001.

I agree with you too and I looked into it also from both sides of the coin.
BTW if there was any conspiracy it was someone in our government knowing about these hijackers and doing nothing.
some of the conspiracies are insane...not real jetliners, cruise missiles...yeah well tell that to the remaining family members that died on those planes

- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

When Sherrod was fired, They lept to land in a position that would be politically correct. They picked the wrong position. Then they had to jump to the other spot because of being at risk for bigotry and racism.
Liberal is throwing accusations of bigotry and some people react to that.
Reality is we can wait a few years and watch Muslims battle to halt beheadings and honor killings and when they can act grown up, consider this spot agaiin. Of course we have to respect the widows and orphans first.
To me it appers many people feel there is something to gain by appeasement.
