It's the bigots like "Apostolic 2:38" who project their racism on everyone around them.
When I read his initial post I just clicked on by because the way he was putting things just reeked of a bad spirit. "Biggest church..."
If the racists and the bigots could ever get to the point of seeing just " one church" their eyes would be open to the real wonders that the Spirit of God can accomplish in all of our lives.

I can only think of the UPCI churches I know of.
Had I known of this man of God, then I would have thought of him.
For now on, whenever anyone asks this question, I will think of Pastor Orozco.
Well, that is until there is a Pastor Chan that builds a mighty UPCI work for the Lord here in the US, populated by the exploding demographic of Chinese-American immigrants.
Hopefully, you will be there to correct me again.

Very familiar w SEM.
My parents were saved in the Assembly under the ministry of Roberto Martinez, son of Domingo Martinez, in NYC.
Dad shortly became UPCI and took over the pastorate of one of the very first Spanish churches of the UPCI, in 1978 in the Bronx, NY.
That was consequently the year of the 1st SEM conference - which I attended as a child.
Dad, in 1982, later took over the work in Queens when Domingo Martinez passed.
Dad pastored that work, Tabernaculo de Jesucristo, until he passed in November 2005.
During that time he served for many years on the national board of SEM and as probably the first Hispanic district presbyter with an all Spanish speaking church.
I became very involved with SEM from about 2004-2006. Helping to promote their national conference - creating a conference site and working with Mundo Pentecostal to finally webcast the SEM conference.
In 2005, I was offered a position in headquarters by the home missions director to become SEM's administrative assistant - a paid position. It did not materialize.
In '06 I turned in my UPCI card.

Stevie,
SEM stands for Spanish Evangelism Ministries.
It is presently a dept. within Home Missions and is the oldest of the multi-cultural ministries within the UPCI.
Presently, the SEM director is a friend of mine, Sergio Vitanza. Formerly it was Elias Limones and before him, Dan Scott.
The annual SEM conference is taking place right now in Raleigh, NC.
This is night #2. It is webcasted @ www.mundopentecostal.com
Tomorrow is the final night.
In a fellowship of 3000 plus churches, there an estimated 500 plus Spanish speaking churches and works.

My bad, last night was the final night of SEM conference.
There will be no more annual conferences ... At least for now ... as HMD is tightening its belt due to costs of venues and a dip in attendance. It will be held bi-annually like Youth Congress.
May be a matter of time in which GC will undergo this change as well, imo.
