Are you saying that The Legalist can just sit there in his gross level of sin and compromise and still be saved?
Are you saying that The Legalist doesn't even have to embrace truth, flee from his youthful lusts that war against his soul and believe it just like I do to be saved?
I really think he should.

So walking as he walked really isn't what we are to do to be saved?
Doing the Father's will as he did... can't do it?
Salvation/Eternal life not based on obedience?

What a ridiculous assumption to make based on what I said. Tell me....are you saying that one has to stop sinning in order to be saved? If so, you're not saved. You still sin, correct? And if so, you're counting on your ability to do something in order to be saved. Such theology is heretical. It is ONLY by the grace of God that we are saved and NOTOFWORKS.

Of all the people who thrashed The Legalist, and especially Blume, in the Cross thread, it was YOU!! What the heck?
I am not saying any of what you said. I am very simply, and this really is simple, that our ability to quit sinning is not a prerequisite for salvation.

Also if you want start another thread... I really don't want to continue here. As this is Mr. Andersons thread and it has been hijacked.

I do not make Eternal Security a big issue. I can respect both sides of the issue and as far as I'm concerned, it's a non-essential topic that doesn't mess me up either way. However, I do not believe it is possible that God will walk away from us and take away our salvation. However, I do believe it is possible for us to walk away from God and abandon our salvation.
