You need to be a little more accurate.

Next you'll be making sweeping generalizations and telling lies accusing folks of actually straining out a gnat and actually swallowing a camel. Careful here, you know where all liars are headed.

If you go back and read you will see I was only originally responding to Barb who said those people were unkind. Carp is the one that responded to me as though I was responding to him.

I never said he misrepresented the encounter (your strawman). I said to Barb my comments about assuming the worse...that a weird look does not have to mean they were unkind and in fact I pointed out Carp said they THANKED him.

Barb was the one that said they were unkind due to the "weird look" and Barb was the one that I was responding to.

In fact I was the one that was saying from Carps post that I did not see how she could say they were unkind when Carp pointed out they THANKED him.

So much for misrepresentation

I have a problem with remembering names with faces of those I see in one place.

For instance, if I only see someone at school, I will recognize them at Wal-Mart but can't think of where I know them from nor their name.

I have worked with people and then see them at a restaurant and can't remember their name or why I know them.

I'm sure I have given plenty of people that 'weird' look because I can't figure out where I know them from. There is a name for this condition, but I can't recall it at the moment.

I imagine that the weird look Carp got was one of being puzzled. They probably didn't understand why he was referring to those people like he did and didn't recognize him as someone they knew.

I'm kind to everyone as well, but those weird looks just happen.

That was my point to Barb. In fact I could have a woman with uncut hair, dress, no makeup, no jewelry walk up to me and say "Hello brother, may I get that door for you" and if I had no clue who she was I would still have a perplexed look on my face, but I would be friendly still

Also, have you ever seen the trinity symbol commonly found on the spines of various theological books? Take one part of that and you have the fish.
That symbol was adopted by early religious groups as representing their belief, but its roots are pagan.
NI
Roots mean nothing to apostolics.

My thoughts too, Heavenlyone. They were probably trying to figure out who he was.......not being unkind at all. But........

Things changed when they saw someone of 'like precious faith'! lol No doubt their countenance changed. It's only natural.

I would hope their countenences changed! I have seen some who's didn't......of course, they looked like they'd been sucking on lemons for about 30 days too.

In my area, seeing 'skirt women' doesn't mean much of anything. We have the Branhamites, Amish, and the local cult group as well as my church. All the women in those groups wear skirts or dresses at all times.

I see women with skirts on all the time, but I have no way of knowing which church they attend or what their beliefs are. So much for recognizing someone of 'like precious faith'.

Of course, they can't tell who I am either, since I'm an 'anything goes' (according to Thad) non-standard believing UPCer.
