I'm going to start you another thread. This thread is about when you are forgiven.
Not sure why you can't answer that.

You don't need to start another thread. I've heard people tell me, including members of my own family, that you are saved when you repent. So, if you say you are forgiven when you repent, you would be saying you are saved.
So, my question stands - Are you inferring that you are saved when you ask for forgiveness/repent?
The Bible says Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."
That tells me that you are not saved at repentance alone.

So, since you are a 'three-stepper' (correct?), you don't believe your sins are forgiven until after you've repented, been baptized, and been filled with the Holy Ghost (speaking in tongues)?
Usually even three steppers believe that you are forgiven at least at baptism, if not repentance.

Why would I be saying that? (bolded)
And the question is are you forgiven when you repent? You either believe that you are or that you aren't forgiven until you are baptized. Going by your method of thinking if you believe you are forgiven at baptism, then you are saying you are saved at baptism.

Re: When Are We Forgiven?
I guess I'd be considered a 3-stepper. I believe in the necessity of repentance, baptism and spirit infilling with evidence of speaking in tongues for salvation.
Forgiveness of sins is at repentance. Remission is at baptism. Salvation comes with the infilling of the HG.

I don't believe you can be filled with the Holy Ghost unless you are a clean vessel - True repentance and baptism. I also do not believe you can make heaven without the Holy Ghost. ( Romans 8:9)
The Bible says that you are saved by:
And ultimately by the "love of truth" - II Thess 2:10 "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved."
We are saved by believing, obeying and having a love of truth. The Gospel message encompasses a whole package. I believe it is erroneous to focus on one element - forgiveness only - concerning the faith and truth of Jesus Christ.
