Hating anyone is a sin. Not allowing or condoning preachers who manipulate and control others for their own agenda and not that of Christ is not a sin, and as I recall Paul told those following him to follow him as he followed Christ, and the flip side to that equation is that Paul was saying that if he did not follow Christ, by all means...don't follow him. Jesus reprimanded the Pharisees and religious leaders of his time, is Jesus lost?

Abandoning 'standards' that are not Biblical or essential to salvation is not a sin. As I recall Jesus healed on the Sabboth, forgave sins, and did things contrary to religious beliefs/rules/laws of his time, is Jesus lost?

Don't hold your breath on that one . . . it's easy to post one-liners and leave. Pointing out examples would actually include thought and reason.

4. Replace the leading of the Holy Ghost with a long list of rules that supposedly have saving power.

Now that is a substantive opposing view. Isn't is interesting how we all process information differently. Good response.

What would a Jesus Name Pentecostal have to do to become lost????

Fellowshipping Trinitarians is not a problem?
Depends on what's meant by "fellowshipping." I don't believe we can't have friends or be friendly to them without constantly bashing them with the Louisville Slugger of Godhead.
FACT: I've seen people laude the great benefits of having some popular false doctrine personality preach at their meeting / Church. Jesus NEVER put up Baal worshipers to preach to the righteous.

Being a pervert(gay) is not a problem???
Where'd you get a silly idea like that? Homosexuality is a sin. As is lying, adultery, murder, etc.
FACT: I've seen people on forums - this one included - staunchly defend the perversion of homosexuality under the guise of "You can't just tell them it's wrong. They love God as much as you do" and, yes, I've seen it said on forums that they might be saved if they are living all they know.

Not going to church is not a problem????
You should go to a local church. You should get as involved in a local church as you can. While it won't save you, it will help your walk with God to be around people of like faith. Just don't spend so much time at the church that you forget to evangelize outside of it.
FACT: This was a GOOD reply. However, it's truth that there are those on this forum who think they are saved and pure in the eyes of God who (a) go nowhere to Church and (b) have no Pastor. Plenty of justification for that in their eyes. It just seems contrary to scriptures that tell us to gather together more oft, etc.

Hating preachers is not a problem??????
I don't ~hate~ the preachers . . . I just hate their sins.
FACT: You have to be on another planet if you haven't seen people here who resent and detest the ministry. A hireling would be more to their liking as they would take orders from a pew and not preach biblical absolutes.

Abandoning all standards is not a problem????
If you mean abandoning non-Biblical, mostly personal standards that most can't seem to agree on anyway (tv, sleeve length, dress shirt colors, rings, watches, jewelry, makeup, pants, etc) . . . no problem. If you mean Biblical standards, then no.

FACT: Yea and verily, have we not seen those who hail as heroes those 'cutting edge' ministries that generally just 'cut' ties with all standards? Granted some get extreme in their perception of right and wrong but the Bible DOES have some guidelines. He's sovereign and that means He makes the rules... not carnal Saints or weak kneed Pastors.

Lying on the AS is not a problem??????????
The only one's who could be lying on the AS would be ~PREACHERS!~ I'm not a licensed minister, so this doesn't relate to me, nor probably over half of the others here on AFF.

FACT: "If I sign this it says I still believe what they preach. I don't. I'll sign it anyway!" LIARS.

The ONLY thing I know that some feel that would cause an Apostolic to be lost is to keep outward standards???????????
Again, where'd you get a silly idea like that? That's about the dumbest statement I've read on here.
FACT: If you don't believe this just take a stand on any subject. Any subject doing with standards. Come on, now, say you don't believe you can be saved without certain stardards of life. You will be branded a lot of things but, generally, the first one will be a 'judge' and that is usually followed by the whole bile filled pablum of "What gives you a right to judge!" Nevermind that whole 'knowing them by their fruits' stuff. God had an 'off day' when He told them to put that one in the Bible.

Sorry, I'm with Epley on this one. Some can't be lost according to their own perverted human reasoning.

Depends on the Trinitarians in question.

Never mind that the Bible says that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Never mind that the Bible says to forsake not the assembling of yourselves together as the manner of some is.

Never mind that Jesus equated hate with murder.

Well, the man-made ones anyway.

Any kind of lying is an abomination.

When the "outward standards" are being kept because one believes they are salvational, when one judges a person's salvation by whether or not they keep these "outward standards" (meaning the man-made standards, only some of which have some loose association with scripture), then one would be lost because one is engaging in legalism (salvation by works).

I think it is funny that Epley keeps starting these types of threads. Who is lost and what made them lost, etc. Everything anyone says on here is basically their own opinion. Some have scripture to back it up, some contort scripture to back it up. Either way, this thread is to try and identify who is lost and condeming people Epley thinks is lost.

Jesus came to the earth so the sinners will repent not the righteous. I nor any of you are a judge in this matter. I will continue to defened my point of view as will others, but do not forget none of us has the power to put anyone in heaven or hell. Even Epley should agree that point. There is no problem calling sin sin, but back it up with scripture in context.

Just food for thought

We have a dozen threads on standards and how they are needing to be thrown out and you now question one response to the overkill?

I am not questioning ONE response. Overkill??? Epley is on overkill here. I am saying you can live like a dog and live a sinful life. That can not be done and be right with God. The fact is that there are man-made standards made out of ma-made opinions. That is what I am talking about. People on here will throw others into hell because their fellowship with trinitarians and such. As long as the message does not change then that is the BIG deal in the BIG picture.

Trinitarians preach the same message as oneness people do. The main difference is what our response is to that Message. They pray a simple prayer and are once saved and always saved. Oneness preaches Acts 2:38. There is a difference here and that is the main difference. Why pick apart people that fellowship with you and trinitarians as if it is us four and no more?
