And it's fair enough that you may believe some of us are going to hell, and I can accept that you really do still love us. Honestly. Very logical. In your love, you want to sway us to the way you see things.

Re: Peace @ AFF

It's important to keep in mind that just as the Apostle's had disagreements we too will have disagreements. Circumcision was something that Peter and Paul did not see eye-to-eye on; yet, they continued to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. They realized that there was something far greater than their perspectives on this matter, and that was the souls of man. We must all have this same mindset lest we allow the enemy to feed such disagreements, which only breeds discord among the saints of God.

I think that many have allowed this to happen to some degree. I think that we must keep in mind that none of us can put anyone in heaven or hell; and none are superior to our brother and sister in Christ. This all ties into 1 Corinthians 13 as NotforSale so poignantly pointed out. As Christians we can allow ourselves to become so dogmatic that we forget to show love one towards another.

Thanks for the amens.

Amazing how love supercedes all knowledge, understanding of all mysteries, gifts of prophecies, and the greatest of all Faith!

Truth even bows to Love, including the Truth of our sins and failures; Love covereth a multitude of sins.

My how I've changed with age. Once lost on the sea of Religious difference, with the secret of hate towards those who didn't see it my way, my deepest and darkest trials have humbled me until I loved.

I now put my arms around people who I once barracaded by my Faith, Knowledge, or ability to interpret mysteries, and the peace I have found does pass understanding.

Got a long way to go, but I promise you, I'm working on this one!

You know, I remember a few days ago I spoke of 1 Cor 13 in reference to the subject that we were discussing at that time. (Don't remember what the subject was.) Some one posted how that 1 Cor 13 didn't apply to that situation.

I just feel that we would be wise in letting 1 Cor 13 apply to all areas and discussions in our lives. Might not be able to make it binding doctrine in all cases but the principal would certainly keep us in line with each other and out of trouble. Just a thought....

Another thought! See, I've had two right here together. Isn't that amazing. How many of us ever read our post before we post them? Someone told me years ago.... "Before you send a heated letter, sleep on it and then read it again before you mail it."

I think some times if we would simply read what we're about to post in some cases we might not post it. I know some posts I have read I feel sure that the poster did not read it before he/she sent it. ...... Now, let me go back and read this post before I post it !!!

Re: Peace @ AFF

Even God couldn't have peace in heaven. If he didn't get it done I doubt we will do much better.

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
