SneeKee,
You're wit is undeniable. However, I would be thrilled to know you put that much effort and intelligence into biblical analysis and interpretation. But we cannot know so far. In fact, it ironically removes substance from your apparent IQ, in a weird sort of way, when you continue to put your gifts to the use that you have, without commencing to deal with scripture.

Effort is the key word. A few tidbits of humor fellowship is easy--real discussion takes time, which I now have.
I agree with you that "Straw Man" is the characteristic summation of this article. No matter what one believes, this is a prime example of what not to do when one wishes to defend it. Fulfilled Prophecy doctrine is nowhere addressed therein, only a weak charicature of it.
Fulfilled Prophecy often receives the reputation of "explaining away" and "spiritualizing" events, because it applies the necessary viewpoint (though often brought into left field by it) that the Scripture must be understood through the context from which it was written. The fact is, Fulfilled Prophecy advocates hold the Scripture to its own standard! If Jesus clearly said that He would return soon, within that generation (which He did on more accounts than the Olivet Discourse), then He meant exactly what He said. If He didn't return, then He was a liar and a false prophet. Period.
Dispensationalism criticizes Preterism for "spiritualizing" cultural idioms, but then renders plain language meaningless. When Christ says "soon" He doesn't mean soon, but over a course of milenia. When the Word of God says "this is the last hour," in clear contrast with the phrase "the last days," this too is meaningless--The "last hour" has been continuing on for 2,000 years. God openly declares to Daniel that his vision of Messiah will not be fulfilled for many days--4 centuries, yet when God says that the vision is at hand, it will not be fulfilled for nearly 2,000 years.
If there is to be any progress made in understanding the prophecy of Scripture, the time frames to which the Scripture holds itself must first be examined and concluded upon. This article, like most Biblical arguments lacking substance in a particular point, jumps from one subject to another without nailing down the first.
Deal with the time! Daniel prophecied 70 weeks, not 2 1/2 milenia. Jesus said "when you (i.e., those standing there) see these things," not "when they see these things." (Matt 24:33) If you want to be a literalist, fine. Be a literalist. But be consisent. And most of all, deal with the time first. Then we can investigate the details, to see if what we have to say about the Bible is true or not.

Considering the influence you've had, this is a valued compliment. Thank you.
Btw, you're in much better shape than Perry Stone.

Re: Why Preterism is a false doctrine
Just a comment that I want to get off my chest, from my studies it seems those of use that have come to beleive in fulfilled prophecy use the the word in the way it was written in symbolism when symbolism is used and litural when litural is used. So far I have not seen any crossing of lines so to speak. Now futureist.... Well lets just leave well enough alone for now lol.
Maybe we should be asking why futurism is false doctrine instead of why fulfilled prophecy is false.
