I could pick a dozen people on AFF that would better articulate and lead a political party over Sarah Palin. Her name should be called "Hail Mary" because that's what she was for the GOP in 2008. It didn't work. Game over. That play won't be called again for a long, long time. She will try to feel out the reception of her circus, but we don't need a candidate without ideas, we need someone with the articulation of Newt, charisma of Regan, and throw in a Romney-esque idea maker for good fun. Palin meets none of those criteria. Not one.

She's pretty, she's a conservative by label, and the media hates her. SO WHAT!!!
You are of course welcome to your opinion. I don't agree with you. I don't think she has all the answers either. But I don't know of anyone that does. I don't know of a Reagan today, wish we had one.

My Mom always says, that politicans may go in to office straight, but they all come out crooked. Seems to be some truth in that.

I like Newt as well, but he has his issues also.

IMO, no one is doing that, Jeffrey. You aren't paying attention.

1. Glad she wrote a book to tell her side.
2. Wish because of the backlash she received that she could, possibly, move into an office in time - if that's what she wants.
3. No one is sure she is going to run for higher office.
4. She speaks conservative values and loves her country. That counts for something.

Again, no one is supporting her for any office at this time. We are simply discussing her interviews and her book. Pay attention! You are overreacting! LOL!

Do you see the specific concerns raised here on AFF as legitimate concerns or do you think that people are just covering for their not wanting a woman to lead them?

Incidentally, there have been conservative females giving compelling reasons they don't want her to run as well.

I could have missed a post, but the ones I saw all had to do with how effective she was or wasn't with interviews, nothing about where she stands on the issues. But if I missed one please let me know.

You can "stand" anywhere you want on an issue. If you can't articulate it, I'm not convinced you really understand it, which means those empty sayings will turn into tragedy when put to the fires of national office.

We don't know enough about her "standing" on issues, other than she's really awkward outside of her 3x5 cards. In other words, her seemingly unrelated poor interviews could actually be related to her denseness on the issues. Isn't that important to you?

What has she said about the issues that makes her such a winner? There are literally millions of people that "stand" for conservative values. What makes her a winner to you?

I'm a man and I highly respect Sarah P. and what she stands for. She's pretty, she'd smart and she tells it like it is. Alaska is the looser because she resigned. I wonder if she would like to come run for Governor here inCa. When conservatives finally find a good person to run for office they won't stick together. One preacher said he wouldn't vote for Ron Paul because he is Southern Baptist. How narrow can you get. I think he may have gotten confused and thought we were voting for GS of the UPCI.

People did talk about her interviews but even with that much of the issue that people had with her interviews was not with linguistics but content. At times she appeared to not have a grasp of the issues. People also expressed concern about her overall readiness and other issues as well. This thread was specifically about her interview so the impression she leaves in interviews obviously dominate it.

I just don't get the impression that the main reason people were not comfortable with her was her gender. I was just trying to see if you felt that way. I was just curious
