Yes, it is more than NO in the fact that TV is not the only trial on the docket, but in simple reference to the hot button issue before us, the answer is NO.

Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllo
There are NO restrictions on the Internet.
Soon with HDTV and the merger of Phone/TV/Cable it all becomes moot.

Realistically, your argument is incorrect.

Remember, we're talking JUST advertising, as you stated earlier in the thread.

which is exactly why the 'no tv because we say so' does not go over well. People are intelligent. Give them guidelines, enable them to discern what on TV, Internet, radio, print and their phone/ipods are bad and to be stayed away from.

How does HDTV figure in your equation?
The only relevence I see is that HDTV is a much higher quality viewing experience and becomes the "premium" choice of viewing material while computer monitors, telephones, PDA's, etc become secondary devices offering viewing choices similar to what TV did in the past.
Somewhere there will probably be a Pentecostal preacher preaching that it is ok to watch TV on your computer or telephone as long as you control the content but will draw the line at HDTV since the picture is so crystal clear and an immersive experience!
I have a seven minute promo clip in high definition advertising the different VOOM HD channels that I have kept stored on my HD DVR when I am demonstrating my High Def home theater with the 92" screen. It is amazing. I especially like the "RUSH" channel that shows a lot of outdoor sports like extreme mountain skiing, etc. The 92" screen combined with surround sound speakers and a floor shaking subwoofer makes for a cool setup.

It is more than NO. What about the Internet? Zero restrictions.

Well, excuse me!
I thought you were referencing questions on the list that were asking about unrestricted internet.
Now that I think I understand what you are asking me, we do need guidelines regarding internet usage. The constantly evolving technology demands that we update what we teach much more frequently than we used to. I'm fixing to update our church again on what our position is in this fluid area.
TV is TV, whether it is a TV itself or on a computer. The stand needs to be consistent, IMO.
We gotta say "NO" at Tampa and work on the internet situation, as well.
God is giving us wisdom and will continue to do so as the stages of technology drive us to make wise choices.

Well, we can agree to disagree.
I have studied earlier civilizations and everyone of them has reached it's zenith and then crashed when morals were breached and destroyed.
TV is a major contributor to the great moral decline in America.
God bless.

Haha, warrior81680, I am on your side against Resolution #6, or it's reincarnation. I have been against it since I first read the wording. FWIW the crowd that said they were voting for are now stating they are voting against.
Hence why this is not settled until the vote is counted.
