I am just curious as to why the media and commentators are so afraid to say that the major who murdered the people at fort hood was acting out Jihad, why wont they say it, are we so pc we just cant admit the truth, dt

I think they are being very careful about reporting this incident for good reason. I do not think it would take much to set off a major act of terror or to stir up some of the fringe groups in the US to retaliate against Islamics. Remember Oklahoma City?

just curious, an ex army colonel friday was saying that they just need to be honest and admit this was Jihad, i agree with him, but i am just me, the independent senator from connecticut is also speaking out, bless lieberman for being honest, dt

You might have a point.

Since they "glory" in their sacrifice, they might not want to give much air time to it.

However, it's not kept them from doing it before.

Perhaps they don't want to incite more attacks against innocent civilians by enraging the Muslim population of the US. This is a fine line and I'm not sure if I'd want to make those kinds of decisions if I managed a major news media.

i dont think the media is afraid to say anything, they have been remiss in admitting that even the shooting in ark was an act of terrorism, you know ignore it and it isnt there that thing, dt
