A Call From The Heathen Night
Just imagine your self in a dark room, locked doors, draped in black curtains, so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of you. There you are lying on the cold floor, sick, hungry and lost, not even knowing of Jesus, the Savior of the world. The room you are in is completely filled with hopelessness. Just suppose the one person had the key to the room you were lying in, and knew your condition, but didn't come to help you.
Just suppose some officers were passing by and decided to look into what they thought was deserted room, and found you in this hopeless condition. Suppose they took you to jail to be questioned, and asked why you were in such a condition, and why didn't someone let you out. Now, imagine yourself as the person who holds the key.
Today there are millions of such perishing souls in this condition. They lie on sin's prison floor, helplessly. Their kinfolk can't help them because they are in the same condition. You and I are the ones that can help them! We hold the key to let these lost souls of heathenism. We are responsible to let them know about the one true God, the Savior of the World.
One day there will be a Judgment day for you and me, but not only for us, but for those precious souls. I wonder what will we say when the Lord asks them "Why don't you have the Holy Ghost, and why haven't you been baptized in Jesus Name? Will they point their fingers at you and I and say: "They had the key, but didn't open the door for me to hear the Gospel." Then to hear the Lord say: "Bind him hand and foot, and cast him into outer darkness, where there will be weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth." Hands that could have worshipped, witnessed, worked, knocked on doors, and passed out tracts are not bound, and feet that could have walked the streets, visited jails, hospitals, old folks home, parks, and prisons are now bound, ready to be cast into hell, because they never heard, thus , they never obeyed.
Do you honestly think the Lord will say "well done" to us, and then cast millions into hell because we did not do our job of evangelizing the world? The task is so urgent, for night cometh, when no man can work. As Jeremiah cried, "Alas, for the day declines, the evening shadow lengthen." (
Jer. 6:4 Amp.) Many are the excuses people make for not working for God, but no excuse will defend us on judgment day .
