A suit jacket with no tie is very nice!

But I do want to be more clear - I believe you do give your best, but I don't think you LOOK your best. There is a difference.

Re: Do Your Kids Dress Like Bankers?

I think men having to wear suit coats in the summer is just stupid - - church, work, whatever.........it's not cold.

I would DIE if I had to wear a suit in the summer!

These days, suits are usually only worn by professional businessmen. Even at a symphony concert, few will wear a coat and tie.

Re: Do Your Kids Dress Like Bankers?

Both of my children will be attending youth camp and then the great camp meeting in North Little Rock. My 20 yr. old son will be dressed in suits at both events. He has always wore suits to every service since he was around 2 I guess. My daughter is 15 and will be dressed to the nines for every service.

I have great kids.

yes Sam....that was another thing that frustrated me that night. I searched all over the balcony area...all over the main area... we would get to a seat that looked to be empty and be told "sorry, someone is sitting here" and after being told that 5-6 times, we went back down to ground level where all those kids were just milling about talking while worship service was going on. I didn't bring them for a fashion show either... so we left.

I had already started looking for a new church, but it was actually one of the final nails in the coffin of my choosing to leave the organization period... I am so totally sick of things that people just seem to be blind to.

This was a UPC conference you went to? You're former UPC? Too bad you're all the way in Indiana, you would probably love my assembly, if you're into simple, biblical, apostolic Christianity. You know, though, I want to say there are some UPC people who fellowship with my church and others, who are into "simple" church, who might be in Indiana, they're in some town called Greenville, I think, in one of the Great Lakes states anyways. Are you still going to the Nazarene church (that's where you were going for some time, if I remember correctly)? LORD bless you!

No, I don't attend the Nazarene, I attended some bible studies there and helped with music...they still ask me to lead praise and worship every so often....but I attend another church that baptizes in Jesus name and is spirit filled... It's in Indy and we really like it.

Greenville IN is down by Louisville KY.
