Back in 1956/1957 when I was attending the Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, MN, Bro. Gordon Magee came and preached a couple of times at Midway Tabernacle (the UPC church which was affiliated with the school). One night he preached on "Blood, Water, and Spirit" and said that the Orange Men (a Protestant group in Northern Ireland) had a tradition that Jacob's Ladder contained three steps.
Though I may not agree with you on many things, your memory and your dealings have always been wonderful reading...
We've had lots of discussions here and on other forums about "three-steppers" and "one-steppers." They usually generate more heat than light.
I happen to fall into the "one-stepper" category.
As a "one-stepper" I believe that all who sincerely believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and who confess Him as Lord are:
justified,
saved,
born again,
part of the Body of Christ,
part of the family of God,
my brother or sister,
rapture ready,
citizens of the Kingdom of God,
on their way to heaven

I read somewhere that if two people are exactly alike, one of them is unnecessary.
We're a pretty diverse group here.
And I appreciate it that the "official" definition of "Apostolic" for this site includes both "one-steppers" and "three-steppers."
