Jesus said in Luke 11:13 that God will give the Holy Ghost to them that ask him!

I love that you use this scripture. I been in Pentecost almost 40 years and have never seen it happen this way.

All I have ever seen is people holding someones arms up, screaming in their face, coaching them, shaking them and more often than not, telling them they almost go it.

This does not in any fashion corroborate what Luke said in your text.

I do believe in the initial evidence doctrine,but alot of the antics that take place at altars frustrate people.

I also think there is a diffrence in asking and praying as I have never seen anyone just ask god for his spirit but the baptist mabey they are closer to the real way than the pentecostal are ... the pentecostals always pray for it. the bible says just ask.... I was going to respond yesterday but got busy. I am like freeatlast on this I have never seen it done like it says in the bible just ask

Come on now. That's just an artificial distinction you are creating.

When you ask God for something, arent you praying to Him? Prayer is communication with God.

If people just always receive the HG automatically, as you insist, there would be not need for Jesus to say He'd give it to those who ask Him. Besides, what about the many, many people (millions?) who have asked God for the baptism of the Holy Ghost, (while praying at a church altar), and received it?!

You sound like you're trying to imply that their experience was unbiblical.
Be careful with that.

No it is not unbiblical but all it states you have to do is ask why do you have to pray to god to ask him for something just ask him. God hears all no matter how you ask......

We just call everyone up to the front who wants to receive the Holy Ghost baptism, and then Eddie instructs everyone to repent of any sin they might have in their lives. Then he explains that they are going to ask the Lord for the Holy Ghost baptism, and that it will come on them and they will start speaking in tongues. That it's very easy to receive. Within minutes after praying, people will receive it, very easily. Some get very emotional; some are very quiet. I've seen jumping, falling on the floor, yelling, etc. when they start speaking in tongues. But I've also seen others just stand there with tears rolling down their faces, speaking in tongues.

What we do NOT have is other people screaming at them, shaking them, pumping their arms up and down, massaging their backs, etc. We have people surrounding them, usually praying in tongues, but not being a distraction.
