Question UPCI GB Meeting - what would you want to tell them

In a few weeks the U.P.C.I. General Board will be meeting... IF you could be there, and have 5 mins to speak, what would your question, concern, or topic be??

Keep in mind, this is made up of people who will influence hundreds of preachers/pastors around the world over the next several years...

What would you say if you REALLY had the opportunity?

For the sake of God and the integrity of Apostolic theology, please address the "magic hair" heresy immediately. Not behind closed doors but with an open and official organization wide ban on such teaching.

I agree with your concerns on this but I hope they wouldn't "ban" the teaching so much as simply come out and talk about it. Address and confront the issue publicly.

We seldom do this. Instead we fight and politic to get our resolutions passed that cancel out the other side's resolutions. With such a wack-a-doddle issue as "magic hair," perhaps we have an opportunity to practice what it's like to be a real church and persuade and win the erring brothers and sisters rather than putting them out like Fred Flintstone's cat.

Right on target!

Pull in the leaders of the emerging Apostolic church and hear what they have to say, instead of speaking at them, how about talk with them. I think they will see a group of young men who have a heart for God, are missional in the approach and still believe that the surest way to change a heart is the Acts 2:38 experience.

I agree.
An article in the Pentecostal Herald would be a good place to start.

Okay. There's that "emerging" Apostolic church stuff again.

From what I'm seeing there doesn't even seem to be a clear definition or consensus on what that IS.
Im starting to think this "emerging Apostolic church" thing might be a bigger reality on internet forums than in the real world.

Instead of EMERGING read RELEVANCY.

A pastor of a large UPC church finds it a big deal:

I agree, Magic hair has to go. Also I think it would be good to speak to the emerging Apostolic leaders in the movement because there is a way to make it work, IMO.
