This Week with George Stephanopolos recently had John McCain as the guest. During the interview Stephanopolos asked McCain if he would support Sarah Palin if she ran for President in 2012. Here is what was said:
STEPHANOPOULOS: You said, after the election, that Governor Palin has a bright future in your party. Does that mean that, if she does chooses to run for president, she can count on your support?
MCCAIN: Oh, no. Listen, I have the greatest appreciation for Governor Palin and her family, and it was a great joy to know them. [..]But I can't say something like that.
Just a month ago McCain said Palin was the best choice to run the country should something happen to him if elected President. Now, a few weeks later, he already won't endorse her in 2012?? It sure appears the claims that McCain and his camp was not too happy with Palin was true.
1) John McCain NEVER turned on Palin-- you can believe that!
2) The Bible speaks about why a Spiritual Leader should not be a novice. Palin has demonstrated why that spiritual truth has a natural counterpart that is just as true.
I don't think she's loyal. I really don't.
For a GOP that's hallmarks include loyalty, she has put herself out of favor (for now) with the folks that can help her in the future.
How about he commit to the American People.
The 2 worst repulican candidates of my life Bob Dole and John McCain.
I can just picture Sarah Palin on the Campaign trail in 2010 "Vote for me, because as you know John McCain has always been the maverick"
I bet ole Sarah will be traveling around all over the deep south, where she seems to be particulary popular, supporting Congressional candidates who promise to get all Mavericky in Washington. One can only presume that she will continue to reside in Alaska where she will remain next door neighbors to Russia and that will keep all of her foreign policy experience intact.
No one can predict what will happen in 2012 and that's why McCain won't endorse her. It'd be foolish too. Everything you need to know about how McCain felt about choosing Sarah Palin came out after the election. It was a silly choice for the sole purpose of bringing excitement and enthusiasm to a struggling campaign. It worked on his solid base and it most certainly did not work on anyone else, including women voters he needed.

HA, HA, HA!
Mike, your quite the comedian! Your political acumen is pretty sharp I think you think. Remember "Lieberman Is Going to Pay the Piper"?
Palin was the BEST thing to ever happen to McCain. He didn't lose because of her, he actually gave himself a fighting chance. She ignited his base, which he did not have and brought his numbers up to a competitive level. Mac likes her I believe, it was his handlers that ended up blaming her for the loss because it was actually his and their fault.
The last president to get elected b/c of his VP selection was JFK.
People didn't vote for Mac for two reasons: the economy tanked at the worst possible time for him (probably the biggest reason) which was unavoidable, and second because he wasn't willing to truly go on attack mode with Rev. Wright, Ayers, Rezko et al early enough to cause people to really question the wisdom of choosing BO.
Dole tried to play nice with Clinton in '96 and look what it got him.
Mac wasn't the strongest candidate for the GOP, but the GOP really didn't field strong enough candidates in a year that would've taken a resurrected Reagan or Teddy Roosevelt to pull it off. Palin had nothing to do with Mac's loss. He lost it on his own.
The fact that Palin causes such dramatic reactions from you all proves to me that she is a formidable candidate for the future and the liberals and the media elite must consistently frame her in a negative light to kill any potential might have of running again. If she was such a baffoon and ball and chain to the GOP, you all ought to be rejoicing she has a chance in 2012. She would be so easy to defeat, right?
Mac would be stupid to endorse ANYBODY barely a month and a half after the election and not even a month before the new one is inaugurated. A lot can (and probably will) happen in the next four years and the whole political landscape will surely be vastly different in 2012. Especially if our new prez gets "tested" by some rogue nation or terrorist group.
Can anybody remember ANYONE of stature endorsing a candidate four years in advance? It is really, really stupid to interpret this interview as a slight by Mac toward Palin.

Besides that Mac won't even be around in four years, remember, he's an old man just a heartbeat away from death, or so the media and libs would have had us believe. Mac's younger than I am and I intend to be here to vote for Sarah in 2010!!

Well unless you see something I can't, Palin won't have an opportunity until 2012.
