Here's what I don't get. I see churches that preach against christmas but exchange gifts. that's participating in the comercial part of Christmas which should be wrong too.
If it's not right, then withdraw from all of it.

Great advise, bravo!

Re: We're Not Putting X-Mas Trees Up!
I'd like to lay down a challenge to those brothers who argue that Christmas is "pagan" in origin. The truth is that the setting of the date of December 25th as a day to honor Christ's birth has more to do with the dispute regarding the date of Christ's death in combination with an ancient Jewish belief known as "integral age". Here is the challenge...please read and answer the points of this article:

It is no surprise that the ones that don't believe in women preachers don't believe in celebrating Christ birth either. Go figure. First I noticed the similiarities.

Esther were are we told to celebrate xmas? Listen it's a Christ Mass, that means it is a Mass for Christ, which is either Easten Orthodox or Roman Catholic, both of those groups don't believe in women preachers. They are those groups who taught you to do what you do every Dec 25th.

Renda,
One of our Neighboring churches preaches against Christmas.
The pastor does not allow the members to wear RED in the
month of December so that they wont associate with the world.

NO, this one is a little south of us.
They are also not allowed to celebrate Birthdays either
The pastor says it has to do with horoscopes and pagan pracitces
