This is an AMAZING day! GOD has smiled on America once again!

So you believe the "most liberal senator" will suddenly turn righteous??? And like Farrecon (sp?) "the messiah has spoken, now the youth will hear".

Re: Post Election Thoughts

As I watched Senator McCain last night with tears in his eyes, I saw a great man. A man that does not have the Holy Ghost, but a man that is far above some that claim to have the Holy Ghost. He was clearly annoyed when his supporters began to boo. He refused to bad mouth President elect Obama. He said he looked forward to working with the new President.
Tearing down seem to be a trait with some apostolic. If things don't go their way they Bad Mouth and continue with the hate that has been prevalent since 2000.

Lord help us.

Yes!!

I've been thinking of a chorus the last couple hours as I read all the concern on the part of Holy Ghost filled believers........

"Why so downcast oh my soul!
Put your hope in God!"

You are right they cannot understand GWB at all, they love the darkness because their deeds are evil. Bush is not perfect but he has stood tall against evil, if the Demos dismantle the military it will be a very dangerous world.

I understand that human rule will not bring about the righteous of God, but we need leaders that really care about the defense and protection of the nation. I do not trust the Demos in this area at all, to say nothing of the social issues.

I pray that God will give BO wisdom beyond his training, and he will have the courage to stand against his party. Maybe the true black church will bend his ear, like a black grandmother rebuking her children for their sinful ways.
It means we get along in spite of our differences. That's what used to make this country so wonderful. I'm convinced that it's getting so bad that one half of America will not be happy until they've arrested or killed the other half. The extremists on both sides are the problem.

We're talking politics. Not religion. Not values. For example, I have gay neighbors. I believe they have a right to privacy and all the same rights I have. But I wouldn't allow them to sleep together in my home. Nor would I expect my pastor to perform a union or to bless their relationship. We have deep differences...but on a political level all men are free and equal.

People are only downcast because their hope wasn't in God in the first place.

McCain showed a lot of grace and a considerable amount of class. Sadly...that's what his followers were lacking...and it sounds like many still do. lol

Yes mam all one has to do is read these threads. The bad mouth and distortions have not stopped and are continuing right along with some apostolic. It is not hypocritical to tell the truth.

Well, I'm nervous, but maybe Obama will surprised me and do this country some good. If he will get us off dependence on foreign oil that would be a step in the right dierction.

I'm not being biased here or trying to sound racist but IMO the only ones with "civil rights issues" are the minorities.

Where is this great oppression and big resistance that's been holding an entire race back? I've seen equal rights available to any and everyone willing to do what it takes to obtain them.

He, and his supporters see his election as a chance to finally "fix" everything.

It will only get worse, it has to
I'm reminded of a quote...
“I confidently trust that the American people will prove themselves … too wise not to detect the false pride or the dangerous ambitions or the selfish schemes which so often hide themselves under that deceptive cry of mock patriotism: ‘Our country, right or wrong!’ They will not fail to recognize that our dignity, our free institutions and the peace and welfare of this and coming generations of Americans will be secure only as we cling to the watchword of true patriotism: ‘Our country—when right to be kept right; when wrong to be put right.’”— Senator Carl Schurz, October 17, 1899
