OK It's over. Now speak the truth and lie not.

Re: The Election, Race, and You
I think race played in his favor. i could never vote for a prodeath candidate or pro gay such as he is.
I vote for a chinese man if he was the right man for it.

I agree.... I have no prob seeing a "black man" in office.... My problems with this guy are his stance on the issues.... He stands for things that are contrary to the Word of God.... He's not a true American.... and what I mean by that is, the kind of American that honors what American stands for. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.... I grew up with American pride. There is an honor that wells up inside me when I see our beautiful flag. When I see soldiers in the airports, restaurants, or in stores,, I am full of gratitude for them.... thankful for them.... When I hear our National Anthem, I stand with pride for our country.... I believe in helping out those who are in need, but I don't think it's right to force people to give of their own money that they have worked hard for.....
As for seeing someone of a different race in the white house, I have to admit, it's neat.... I have hated racism all my life..... But I would not vote for a color over issues.....

Re: The Election, Race, and You
I had no problem with the race issue. But I do have a problem with the fact that he is for the Gay issue and for abortion. The other thing that bothers is his ties some of the islamic groups over in Africa.

right! That is what bothers me more than anything else... There will always be taxes.... Abortion and ProGay lifestyles will always be an issue... But when it comes to our national security, that is where I am concerned....

Re: The Election, Race, and You
I can truthfully say that race played no part in my vote. In fact, if a black man like Alan Keyes had run on a major ticket, I would have voted for him in a heartbeat over McCain.

Re: The Election, Race, and You
While race and sex would not be any serious consideration for me, religion could be. Would anyone here consider voting for someone who was politically similar but was an Atheist, Muslim or Mormon?
