Obama made a stop at a first grade class today on his campaign trail and the class was doing a word study. The teacher ask Obama if he would like to take over for a little while, they were studying the word tragedy.
Mr. Obama said "Sure" and then ask, "who can give me a good example of the word tragedy?"
Little Billy raised his hand and said, "My neighbor was mowing his field, his little boy ran out and got run over by the mower, that Mr. Obama is a tradedy."
Obama said, "No, that is not a tragedy, that is an accident! Somebody else give it a try."
Little Suzzie raised her hand and said, "A bus carrying 50 school children went over a cliff and killed them all, that is a tragedy."
Mr. Obama said, "No that is not a tragedy, that would be considered a great loss."
As he waited on someone else to attempt to try to give an example, no one responded, they all didnt want to be shot down by the Obama man.
Finally Little Johnny raised his hand, "The plane you and Mrs. Obama were flying on was shot down by freindly fire and you were blown to pieces all over the place, that would be a tragedy."
"YES!" said Obama, "That would be a tragedy, can you tell me why it would be a tragedy?"
"Well," Little Johnny siad, "Probably because it wouldnt be a great loss and neither would it be an accident either."
