I dont know Benincasa, and I dont know Mark, so for me it's not about taking sides here. I'm just someone observing the conversation on the board. I've found that generally, asking a person a straightforward question more than once is not about "control". It's about pinning them down and trying to get some truth out of them when they're clearly trying to be evasive. And I've found that sometimes a person can tell you a lot about themselves, not just by the questions they answer, but by the way they choose to avoid certain questions you ask them.

It's said that the overall personality of a church is usually a reflection of the personality of their pastor. So if pastors are going on internet forums and trash-talking, railing against their brethren, and repeatedly displaying a bad spirit, then what kind spillover effect does that kind of spirit have on their churches?

Seeing some of the stuff some preachers and pastors say on some of these forums, its no surprise to me that some of our churches are in such bad shape.
