Well, she stopped the bleeding, at the very least.
She held her own going toe-to-toe against Biden, who's been in the senate since Palin was 9 years old. Some people thought he'd eat her for lunch, but clearly he didnt. I think a lot of Republicans who were nervous about her will be getting excited about her again.
How this all plays out with the undecided swing voter, we'll see. In the end, the swing voter is who will decide the election. I dont think Palin is the one who has to win them over at this point. That's John McCain's job.
Her job was to look reasonably and plausibly presidential, and I believe she did that.

A draw in terms of tit for tat yes. But a draw is a win for Palin because the expectations for her were much highter than Biden. She cleared the bar high and above what folks thought she would do. She was charming, fresh, and real. She left a very good impression in contrast to how the media has been trying to paint her as well as SNL and late night comedians.
I see your point DB. Given her past interviews, this was a personal win for her. She looked much better and more on her game.
Comparing the two and their answers, this had to be a draw. For every shot Palin landed, and she did land her share, I think Biden landed a shot.
A personal win for Sarah Palin and the base, but I don't see that she "beat" Biden.

I cant agree here. He kept trying to tie them and she untied them by admitting there have been blunders in this administration but that he needs to quit looking behind and look forward.

She did more than a draw/tie, IMO. Way more!!!! She showed she is very capable of becoming President.

Spot on. Absolutely correct. The effect of this debate in the long run is neal I think. She did stop the bleeding and at least let John McCain live to fight another day.
Completely agree that finishing the sell is up to McCain 5 weeks away from the election.
