Re: Obama: 'Lipstick on a pig' comment. Not Smart.

Of course Obama meant for it to have a double en tundra.

He made things worse/better last night when he said that if anything, Palin would be the lipstick to McCain's pig if you wanted to use the analogy in that manner, which makes PERFECT sense considering Palin's gender was one of the biggest factors tht got her the spot.

Re: Obama: 'Lipstick on a pig' comment. Not Smart.

Just a side note I am so thankful for this forum. I live 30 miles from the church and most of the poeple there live around the church . Needless to say I don't get much fellowship time to talk to people about this stuff. it is nice to know that there is others out there that have the same views and beliefs. Also nice to read others opinions and get another angle on things . So thanks

Excellent article. Obama has a lot of pride, and that shows his lack of experience and his lack of maturity. Furthermore, it shows a lack of understanding in politics in general. You have to be able to eat crow, and then spin the "truth" in such a way as to win back the good graces of your constituents. Nasty business, but that's how it works. The Clintons are masters of that game.

Obama would come off a lot better if he would laugh off his mistakes and errors in judgment, own them, and then proceed to tell us what he has "learned from his mistakes" and how it will make him a better president.

When he can't even admit that he was making fun of Palin with his obvious jab, he looks dishonest, childish and politically inexperienced. (All of which he actually is...LOL!!!!)

You are right but any thing goes if a republican says it but let a democrat say something and the republicans scream to high heaven. The MCcan't remember camp must try to distract because they have no message. I listened to Palin in Alaska last night and it was the same old same old.

I'm not understanding what he should apologize for. Obama's remarks in context.

"John McCain says he's about change too. So, I guess his whole angle is watch out George Bush. Except for economic policy, healthcare policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy and Karl Rove style politics, we're really gonna shake things up in Washington. That's not change. That's just calling the same thing, something different.

But you know you can put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig."

The phrase was used with the exact same connotations as John McCain used it against Hillary Clinton. Both we're accusing their opponents of portraying something as different than it actually is.

He's supposed to issue an apology for that?

Why try to enlighten them with facts. They can care less about facts. Facts confuse them

Please provide proof that Obama said anything about her pentecostal background or speaking in tongues!
The truth matters.

Just as I thought no reply. Just like the McCan't remember camp TRUTH DOESNT MATTER.

Obama has not said one word about Sara Palin speaking in tongues but the truth doesn't matter.
