You nailed it with the swing vote. As they go, so goes the election. McCain has to go much farther to the middle and appeal to mod's tonight. McCain's biggest job after Palin last night, is trying to seperate himself from the last 8 years of the Bush administration. If he can do that well enough, he wins. Game over, IMO.
you are right on what McCain has to do. that has been his job since he picked Palin.

on how this elction turns out....
there is one single over riding factor.

No party has won the white house when the sitting president was from that party and has an approval rating below 50%.... GWBs is in the mid 30's.

that is the single most important fact in this election. a democrat loss would be devistating to them.

You know, I can't say that I am not throughly convinced that "A" Dem and not "The" Dems are behind the smeer champaign. I think politics are just that tough in the ring period.
No I meant that they were already issues being widely discussed or known previously and became national when she did (Particularly in the case of the firing). I was just saying that it wasn't as if investigators had to go dig up and produce these things.

At some point, when both parties leave what you believe in, it's time to stop supporting them just because.

I'm not a James Dobson type, who says I believe in certain things, and then end up supporting people I said "no way" too earlier.

As a voter it's their job to come to me, right?

hey, i agree with you that hanging that on the DNC or BO is hard. but that isnt the hurdle. the hurdle has been lept.

all that has to be done is convince the R base, and the swing voters that the media has done it... and this has already been done.

It is blind partisanship that has us in a position that will keep this from happening. If we don't get rid of that, then nothing substantive will be done about the things that we deeply care about. Many conversatives will vote for someone without getting any assurabce that they will do what we want about immigration...yet we will continue to gripe about it.

Boy I'll say. So much for having to be delicate and tippy toe around her.

She brought that wood last night.
