Thank you, it sounds like many people put their two cents worth into whether or not I would make a good missionary and like I said...I don't remember asking anyone's opinion on my qualifications to be a missionary.
I agree, and stated that I am not in a good place right now [not talking about sin] but am unsatisfied with what I am doing, what I am not doing, or where I am...bored is a good way to describe how I feel about most things...and this forum being one of them. Looks like you guys should be focusing on your own character/plank in your eye, than trying to pick the splinter from mine.
Good night.
Rhoni
I will pray for you, Rhoni...Let's pray for her. She has a zeal and the world is so imperfect.
Just my opinion, but I think this thread took on a tone that was entirely too harsh. Rhoni had already said that she was in a quiet period of transition and wasn't being called to a missionary field at this time.
From that point Rico judged her burden for the lost and, IMO, made absurd judgements that weren't his business. I have opinions and judgements about many different posters, but I don't jump on threads with tongue blazing saying critical things that I've perceived about people based solely on their posts on an internet forum. This was entirely too personal and unwarranted given her postings from page 1.
No need for the dog piling and criticalness, IMO.

Hopefully, this thread will just fade away...............
I agree with Sarah and Jane that we need to pray for Rhonda.
Agreed. I regret my involvement in this thread.

My Momma always taught me to say good things about people or keep my mouth shut but she never gave me any advice about a forum!...However, I try not to offend anyone. That's why I have to delete my posts at times.
You never know what someone is going through at a time when they say somethings that does not seem reasonable and one find an occassion to find fault with them and attack, regardless how wise their words may sound.
Truth can indeed hurt but there is a time and place for all things. Sometimes we need to understand when it is time to rally around someone that just needs a little encouragement rather than the truth pushed down their throats and choke them to death. There is a time and place for truth which must surely come, but now this dear lady needs affirmation, strengthening and ecouragement. Let us do what we can to lift her up in prayer and encourage her here.
Just my thoughts.
Yes indeed! Rhoni has such a precious heart! I want to encourage her and lift her up in Jesus name! Hey, do you know I believe Rhoni can have the desires of her heart! Also, whatever she may be lacking she can learn!
It utterly amazes me how one can attack another person's character when there is no way one can know what is in another's heart! No way one can know their past or future! Aren't we Christians who love the Lord! God is love!!
Hang in there dear Rhoni... it really doesn't matter about attack posts!
Treat it like water over a duck's back.
Rhoni Well lady you just "Can’t Lose for Winning".... You took the blows over at FCF when you returned to the UPC, now your getting it again, just different ....
Rhoni, your a strong lady outspoken does not bow well within the realm of leadership , I believe you'll find your way, just maybe through different means then the church, try the peace core, private , etc . There are many ways to active a gold or calling. I remember years ago reading a book by a gal who was UPC with small kids in tow back in the 50's who wanted to be a missionary, she could not get their support , due to the fact she was a woman, UPC would not back her, guess what??? She went, she packed her things along with her kids and went! She made a major impact in many of lifes with sharing the gosple to the lost, I wish I could recall her name, I heard her preach once way back in the 80's, bought her book, not sure who has it now, but maybe someone on here will recall this story.
Another thing is, that many may not understand is when women get to our age they have a major change on their outlook on life, kids are grown, the things that use to be importing like cooking, cleaning when we were young mothers/ wife and taken care of their daily needs no longer have that same focus, we have a life now, it's now time to live ours, does not mean we no longer care or don't love them, the tide has change and so has the focus. In most cases we are now getting back in touch with who we once were, what our dreams used it be, now we can live it! Yep people will say she lost it, they told our grandmother and mother any other woman going through this transition of life through out history they are losing it, here dear take some hormones, so we don't have to deal with you...
Whatever you decide, YOU GO GIRL!!!! This is your time now, live it! Dream, dream big. Don't let anyone stop or stand in your way of living it.......
