What happens when this entry fee doesn't fix the problem?

This is one reason that I am most likely going to leave the Org this year. I am not in agreement with how the money is being spent overall.

That's why Louisville and Salt Lake always have the best sales results.

I don't remember that the Arena and Exhibit area were close at all in Salt Lake. I thought it was still quite a hike between the two.
Of course, another possible solution would be to simply hold GC in St. Louis every year. This would reduce a tremendous amount of the overhead costs associated with housing and committee/board meetings.

Sounds like you already mentally left. BTW, how the money is being spent is only a real concern if your money is part of it.

Louisville was centrally located, had good motels within driving distance, and SteakNShake.
I know there were throngs of GC visitors who detoured to see the Grand Canyon when they went to Phoenix via Las Vegas. Many told how they liked the drive through the AZ desert and the cost of the tickets. I know many who still use GC for family vacation time also.

LOL I may have done a little.
Many do use GC vacation time - but that's not how the locations get picked.
It's going back to Louisville because it is centrally located, has the exhibit areas attached to the arena and they offer a good deal to conventions.

Oh yeah, our money is part of it. Between national dues, district dues, sectional dues, SoC, M.M., SFC, Media Missions, Pentecostal Herald, PPH and FM, we are always writing checks. If fact I received two envelopes from HQ today - both wanting money.

Is this somehow different than when saints feel money isn't being spent properly in their church and choose to leave?

Not really - I feel that people in an assembly ought to have input into the financial plan of the assembly.
