And by putting a child in a woman God entrusted that life to women. My mother used to say, "I brought you into this world, I can take you out." LOL The point is that women and children are not wards of the state. Right or wrong, the Government cannot essentially seize a woman's body and force her to give birth. Nor can it usurp the ultimate parental responsibility of balancing that child's wellfare and the mother's life and/or health.
This is something that is best left in the hands of individual women.
I also see you breezed past my post pointing out your "scenario" of a womans health being the issue here only represents a small fraction of abortions.
the VAST majority are simply for birth control. nice.

How do you believe the Government will realistically police and enforce a ban on abortion?
And in the case of a woman's life or health being at stake....do you really trust the Government to properly define when your wife really may need an abortion or not?

The sword is in the hand of the state. The lawful execution of a criminal guilty of a capitol crime and the protecting of it's citizens are the states responsibilities.

As one who works in the 'baby' field I'm not sure that there is a need for abortion.

I'm not aware of the government making anyone get pregnant????
The choice to abort or not is best left in the hands of individual women. The Government is incapable of properly defining those situations when it might be necessary, policing the issue, and penalizing violators.
Government isn't the answer. Churches and PRIVATE entities can best address the abortion issue through providing education and social services.

...ho hum...
deep breath, repeat mantra....
do you really think repeating the same tired false conundrum will acutally convince people that abortion is a matter of choice?
LOL!
once more with feeling. the vast majority of abortions are for the purpose of birth control. the are NOT health realated issues.
