I think the real question is: Does anybody think any politician Republican or otherwise is actually going to do something like prosecute doctors or mothers. This has all become an excercise in theory that does not translate into what we expect politicians to do for our precious and important vote.
I challenge you to look at the number of states that have passed laws restricting abortion. It’s disingenuous to say nothing is being done. Partial birth abortion has been banned, and the ban upheld by a court that would not have while O'Connor was on the bench, so yes, it does make a difference.

Do you believe that abortion is the killing of an innocent human?
Yes. But life on this fallen world isn't perfect. We make life and death decisions every day. Consider this....80,000 civilians have died in Iraq in the crossfire between American troops and insurgents. Does supporting the war make one a supporter of these murders? No.
Life is complex. Yes, it's the taking of a life. But at the end of the day, right or wrong, I firmly believe that the choice to abort should belong to you and your wife...not the Government. I pray that if you ever have to make that choice it's absolutely necessary and not a choice of convinience.
Let's translate your thinking to another scenario.
I don't like my neighbor. His dog poops on my lawn. His trash blows into my yard. The government tells me I can't kill him. The government is not authorized or qualified to make that decision. The choice should be mine.
Make sense?

Baron, when you look at the amount of legal abortions done in our country every single day just because the mother wants it (no medical issues ,etc...), I think it is disingenuous to pretends that all these Republican terms have made a real difference or will make a real difference.

And the choice to go kill him is still your's to make, correct?

What is the difference morally between killing an unborn baby and killing a 1 month old?

You can stop with "yes."
No matter how complex life is we prosecute for murder so don't tell me the government is incapable of handling it.

Pro-Choice = Individuals choose (I admonish that women choose life unless their life is in danger)
Pro-Abortion=Supports the act of Abortion as in China.
Just because a person believes that the government is incapable of addressing the issue doesn't mean they support abortion. I support churches and private entities stepping in to address the issue through education and social action.
Pro-Choice supports American policy that allows for all abortion
Pro-Abortion supports American Policy that allows for all abortion
one goes out and gets all happy about dead babies, the other is grave and serious and waxes poetic on American freedom all the while babies are being butchered.
I think my version is more accurate.
