I'll take it. Can I choose what my doctorate is in, or are they all plain vanilla? Can we get our sheepskin in the mail, can I wear a funny looking outfit? Dr. Adams really doesn't fit me though, can't you just call me John or Pastor John or better yet, MOW? I think I like that better!

I would recommend bestowing ThD s only.
Those degrees are largely unregulated.
