In I way I was already thinking about this before you posted LadyRev
Although sickness and the doctor are different than say "Taking" another's life. In my opinion it requires the same kind of faith and trust that Aquila was speaking of with the "non-violent" .
Exactly.

No one should "allow" anyone to be hurt. The issue is using lethal force. If as a Christian you have tried to escape with the child, trick the attacker, subdue the attacker with non-lethal force...you've done about all you an do within the limits of Christian ethos. To kill the attacker might be justified...but it isn't preferable or Scriptural.
I think I've seen that Chuck Segal Van Dam movie before.

Here’s an interesting question whose answer has deep theological ramifications.
It was brought to our attention that many Christians around the world are brutalized and killed by attackers. No doubt these Christians prayed for protection and trusted God for that protection.
Did God fail to protect them?
or in your words, maybe they just did not have faith.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
The author is incorrect, Christ used the term “sword” metaphorically. For example, Christ also taught that if our hand offend us…we are to cut it off. Or if our eye causes us to sin we are to cut it out. Christ uses metaphorical imagery throughout the Gospels. Here Jesus is telling them that they will not face the welcome they once received….instead they will face violence. Upon bringing two swords, Jesus told them, “It is enough.” If Jesus wanted them armed…or felt they should be armed…why did he forbid them from continuing to gather swords until they were all armed. The author is a buffoon.
Too bad you are a member here. Im sure there are plenty here that would like to name you in that catagory too. Anyways if Christ meant it metaphorically why when when the Apostle said "here is one" Jesus said "it is enough"?

Isn't trickery though being dishonest? Why do any of that stuff at all? Just trust God
