If that is your only reason then you would sacrifice conviction at the altar of public opinion.

Re: UPC pastor's wife refuses to wear hair up anym
I wear my hair up but it is not a doctrine of our church or a doctine found in the Bible...
I feel more confortable with it up. I think how a woman wears her hair is her business. I know we have those churches here in Brazil that teach hair up..lol...
While the world perishes they conduct seminars how to comb your hair...

Do you think Jesus would want us to be identified with extreme fringe cults? Wouldn't our witness be diminished?

I would probably guess that your MIL wears dresses that wasn't made using the same pattern when she cut the fabric before sewing them as those FLDS women. The FLDS women not only use one or two patterns when they made their clothing, but their dresses have to be a solid, usually pastel, color.
I thought it was interesting that so many folk who use to have a traditional Pentecostal standard would compare the OP and the FLDS women's style when there were so many obvious differences between the two.

Seriously you say in one post you have no problem with people who do it for the fact they love their long hair... but I guess you have no respect at all left for those who do have some standards.. just because you have none and it left you with a sour note does not mean that everyone who holds a standard believes they have this stupid uncut hair angel... they just have convictions and some yes are in total bondage and believe they will not go to heaven otherwise but not all are like this... so please get over the broadbrushing and can we have the semi sensible CC1 back
I guess in the words of what some said to me a while back I can say now.. I have seen some very out of character posts from you today and I am saddened and shocked

actually in some churches that thought process is very much alive and well. I know several women who believe there is power in their uncut hair. I’ve been in a service where it was preached…and they took down their hair and danced/praised God with their hair. Maybe that varies from state to state…but it is alive and well around here. It wasn’t that long ago that someone posted a picture here on AFF of a woman holding her hair over an offering plate!!
Recently someone close to me was prayed for and the minister reminded the Lord that her hair had been uncut all her life and asked God to heal her because of it… she was telling me about it later… she said the way he had prayed that he was misguided in his beliefs. She said she wouldn’t have the heart to let him know her hair has been trimmed and colored for the last 20 years or so on a regular basis.

She proudly wore her new maxi skirt to church on Sunday night only to have the pastors wife call her over and forbid her to wear it again since it was "Worldly!!!!! She was called down for following the styles of the world even though it was the most modest thing she had probably ever wore to church. I won't name the pastors wife but boy could she arch that eyebrow!

This same thing happened to me at youth camp when I was about 17. Maxi skirts had come in style and we took some to camp, thrilled that we would finally be "holy" enough that year to fit in. When we got there, they forbid us to wear those worldly things.

she indeed wears long skirts and a bun on her head with the plain looking front swoop.
Folks, I am not making this up. this is exactly what she told me. she didn't want people thinking she was a pologamist!!!!

Good for her!
It looks weird when even they see those ladies getting on the bus.
How they look like drones and can follow anything as the truth.
Maybe more ladies will stand up and say enough is enough...

Foreverblessed,
Thanks for pointing out to some that their particular reality isn't the same everywhere.
