Interesting Contradiction about the Gay Movement

I was reading an article about a scheduled meeting to discuss homosexuality. religion and therapy. It was shut down after false assertions that it would have something to do with Focus On the Family and reparative therapy (to fix gays)...which this meeting had nothing to do with.
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.p...w&pageId=63198

But this got me thinking of the obvious contradiction. Gays are all for freedom of choice supposedly. If you are a guy and you want to become a woman...all power to you.

The contradiction is if you are a homosexual and you want to become straight they are all against that it seems. They HATE any group, ministry or program that helps people leave Homosexuality or lends support to ex-gays. They find it very threatening.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Re: Interesting Contradiction about the Gay Moveme

That is so true. And something else I've always noticed is that lesbians, along with the women's lib movement are all for "feminism" but wouldn't a true feminist want to look and act feminine instead of butchy?

Re: Interesting Contradiction about the Gay Moveme

The very premise of the WORDING is contradictory! "Gay" used to be a word that meant happy and lighthearted. The gays I've known aren't even HAPPY!

Usually, they're surly, or angry, or sullen, or morose, or deeply troubled in a haunting, vexing sort of way.
