I don't think this stuff is made up...they are saying that many of the children share the same first name and last name.... they have to do DNA tests just to see who the kids belong too...
I applaud Texas for stepping in... Sure the dress is unusual to most...but regardless if there is abuse and it's proven.... Texas did a better job here than Waco....

1. Their leader is a problem. But that isn't to say that the whole bunch is likewise.
2. Stuff made up? The phone call that prompted the raid was. Two 22 year old women have recently been released from CPS custody because CPS now believes their age to be what it is and not the minors they accused them of being.
3. Texas did a better job here then Waco? NO. The people responded as lambs without guns or violence as they were led to slaughter (figuratively speaking)....

I am completely against them permanently terminating parental rights. They don't even do that for parents who are on drugs or prostituting, so why do it in this case?
The ideal is for the children to be returned to their parents ASAP, arrest any men that are committing criminal acts, and educate the community in certain legalities, and then move along. I can understand their tendency (the state of Texas) to err on the side of caution, rather than parental rights, especially if they are equating this group to other cults who have committed rash and deadly acts, e.g., Jones Kool Aid. I understand their perspective on that point, too.
Unfortunately, the state may move beyond protecting children to saving face, and that may not be a good thing.

Especially the children, and I hope they can be reunited with their parents in a healthy enviroment. It is very sad to me that the little kids have no clue what is going on and that they were taken from their families and their home.

I don't understand why the state couldn't keep all the children and mothers together for the time being, until its sorted out. Why the rush to place them in foster care? They could just supervise.

NO not my intent at all. I believe more people would sit up and take notice if they could better relate to these parents.

I wonder how young Amish or Mennonite girls are allowed to marry?

Re: Whoa! Polygamist solution is frightening...
That website is about what I expected it to be. I do not approve of the way the women and children were taken. As for the "damages" for such a large raid not much damage, police usually do worse. Had to kick in a few locked doors, hmmmmm wonder what they were trying to hide?

Ok... but what was testified about at the court hearing when the judge was deciding rather to authorize the case and DNA testing? How many underage women who had given birth or were pregnant were claimed?

Yeah me too, that breaks my heart. It is just there are so many. They should treat them like they treated the hurricane victims. I guess they are trying to keep adults away so they can't tell them what to say and not say. But I am thinking they could do a little better with supervision.
