My brother use to set out jug lines in AL/GA ( tied to tree). My nephews would use a long pole to hit the tree limb with to scare the snakes away before they got close to the jugs. Would scare me to death!

When I was little we would go to the gravel pits in Dallas, and my Dad would fish and we would pick wild grapes for my Mom to make jelly. And play on the train tracks and hope a train didn't come by while we were on the trestle (over a pit). Loooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg fall.
