We put to many limitations on God with our preconcieved ideas of what "good church" is.

I don't care how long a preacher is up there as long as he has heard from God.... All I was saying is that if a preacher has heard from God, I don't care how long it is! A former pastor of mine was known for being long winded.... But, there were times we he got up and spoke for 10 minutes and the altar was full.... It doesn't matter how long they are up there IMO....but they better have heard from God.....

Yes but you do have to remember that when preachers preach that long they are risking cutting into some saints valuable tv watching time! And that just isn't fair! I mean to expect one to listen to the Word of God for as long as they would for a made for tv movie is just unthinkable! I say, just drop the preaching all together, sing a few songs do a little dance and let the folks get home in time for their programs of choice,. You know you can only Tivo so much.
Sone of these preachers just have NO consideration for the sheep!

We're most likely going. My husband's brother was one of the preacher's last year. I'm not sure if he's speaking this year or not. But hopefully we'll be there.

I was just thinking.... if the preaching gets too boring (which I am sure it will for me since I am not an ultra con LOL) sorry just being honest! Do you think they will miss us if we escape to the mall?? I know they have a starbucks nearby!!! And ohhhhhh girl the shopping we could do!! LOL

I have had lots of invites to go to that other conference but doubt if I go. Lots of friends are going so they say...that new group whatever they are called...
Brother Alvear`s and my health is not good so I imagine we will do good right now just taking care of our churches in our little part of the world. We really would deeply appreciate your all´s prayers...

lol...you are not right! but, I will have to pass on this one! There is no escaping! I am trying to find out where I can buy some chocolate truffles the size of a cert! That would help me about 1/2 way through~ lol jk
