McCain, Obama and Clinton are pretty much on the same page on same-sex marriage. The only difference I see is that Obama doesn't flip flop on the subject like McCain and Clinton.

The web has many videos of McCain, who is more liberal than many Democrats, stating one minute he was for same-sex marriage and then turns around and states that he was for some sort of legal union.

Obama never stated he was for same-sex marriage, but unions just like your man McCain.

I am glad it is your prediction and not a revelation from God! I am not surprised that you and many women see the possibility of her being the next President as a tremendous leap for women's rights, which is true and which will be taught to children for many, many years. I just wish it was another woman and not Hillary!

I predict that Obama will be the first African-American President, which will accomplish many of the things that having Hillary elected to that office, IMO.

You too are sadly mistaken. I haven't thrown my support for McCain. If you're going to make a comment in regards to me, then I suggest you learn who I am or am not for. In a nutshell, you should read this thread before you make off the cuff remarks to me. I could care less for any of my choices at this point, including McCain.

You know that I have no expectations of furthering women's rights through Hillary. I voted for Huckabee.

Just think about this: Any woman who would run for any office, or even the CEO of a company would be accused of being "Aggressive" instead of a man being "Assertive". The male "patriarchal" way of thinking is ingrained into women as well as men. You are not going to have some 'submissive', feminine manners, and feminine [phoo-phoo] dresser running for President. She may run for PTA, or Homemaker of the year but come on...those qualities found in leadership are things we have been TRAINED to think are male characteristics.

The statement you made that any women but Hillary is ridiculous, and reminds me of many disgruntled saints who say, "What you did has merit but you did it the wrong way, or said it the wrong way".

Men don't like Hillary because she is a woman who would be one up on them and have leadership over them. Women don't like Hillary because they are angry that she didn't divorce Bill and throw him out on his butt. Did anyone ever think that if she had 'divorced' him that her position and status would have been taken away and there she would be, just another spurned spouse and he would still have been President.
