I Was Convicted Tonight.

Tonight at church,I was convicted by The Holy Spirit.
We had an older brother from The ALJC preach for us,and the dear brother had to preach using a magnifying glass to read.
Seeing this made me feel convicted,as I said I can read without glasses boy I never ever should feel sorry for myself.
I said boy this Elder is still preaching using a magnifying glass to read and what am I out doing for God ?
I feel ashamed for what I take for granted.

Bro. Scott,

I know what you mean. Anytime I get to feeling sorry for myself it seems like the Lord puts someone whose plight makes any problems of mine seem miniscule right in front of me to see.

Thats right, AJBC. He has a way of reminding us and helpin' us get rid of our "stinkin' thinkin'". All thats been goin on with me lately was sure put into perspecive when I heard about a singing this next Saturday night for a person who has cancer. I plan to be there to do what I can to help. The patient has a brain tumor. Shes only 2.

And, thank you, Bro. Scott for being that "small still voice" we so often need to hear.

Not trying to hyjack the thread, but I have never heard of so many brain tumor as I have lately. I lost my husband last year to a brain tumor, he suffered for 4 and 1/2 years. My heart goes out to this child and the family. I will be in prayer for them. But, it still reminds me that during that time again, we were blessed. The Lord brought our family through what we thought was the worst of times and taught us so much. I recently met a woman who's husband has a brain tumor and has had for 5 years, it is not malignant, but still causes so many problems, anyway they have been through worse times with this than we did and there I was thinking we were the only ones. We are not the only ones hurting. I myself have learned to have compassion for those that are hurting in any form.

Re: I Was Convicted Tonight.

My Dad had two on his brain when he was diagnosed. I wonder what environmental conditions are leading to brain tumors increasing? Could it also be linked with the increase of headaches surrounding the use of fluorescent lights now?

Just curious.
