Clinton and Bush were men that had to deal with a very terrible problem that was forced upon us.
In reality we cannot blame it all on Bush or it all on Clinton. Part of the problem is the bitter patrician divide in our country. The Republicans hated Democrats so much they stymied legislation that might have helped us prevent 9/11 because it was coming from a Democratic President. And Democrats hate Republicans so much they don’t give credit where credit might be due.
And you know why there is such a bitter divide. WE allow it to happen. We are a divided nation. And that’s why we’re doomed. We need to find common ground.
that is funny, aint no dem gonna compromise and admit they are wrong, dt

name a single piece of legislation that BC offered that was voted down by Republicans that would have helped prevent terror.
NAME ONE.
Democrats have stood against the Patriot Act repeatedly!
You arent off the hook but offering this "they both messed up" junk.
BC did very little to prevent terror, and democrats have opposed GWB at EVERY TURN.

Like you, I am having a serious problem with the election. McCain is no where near what I want in a president and I dont think at this point I can vote for him.
the other two are communists who will do everything a Christian should stand against. (very broad brush there but you get my point)
Huck just keeps saying things that will prevent him from winning a general election, and he really is no more conservitive than McCain except on abortion.
By the Way, Gary Bauer has endorced John McCain.
i understand completely, and even if aquila doesnt know who he is talkin to i certainly understand the economics of the situation, this is just disturbing to me at this point, but i will not break my core and vote for anyone that wants to abort children, that is core my belief in life, and does matter even if the libs dont get it, dt

a right wing website, willing to tell the truth according to the conservative view...which I share... and which I am willing to admit, unlike Aquilla who quotes George Soros like he is some kind of unbiased benifactor of justice....

I am torn. I really am. the abortion issue is right there at the top with me.
go down the line, I line up with conservitives on
Taxation
Abortion
foreign policy
Terrorism
John McCain has been right on the war and little else. so where does that leave us? I may vote constitution party.
The only thing holding me back is, I served in the military. I am a veteran of Desert Storm. I cant leave my brothers and sisters in uniform hung out to dry and a vote for anyone other than the republican is exactly that.

The issue isn't so much who's wrong and who's right. There will always been personal opinions. The issue is where can we find a workable agreement that both parties feel comfortable with?
For example in Europe. In regards to abortion they've pretty much agreed to keep it legal. But those who are pro-life push for strong measures to help keep the abortion rates down. They work together to get that done.
Where can there be a consensus so we can get this country moving again? Right now it's just a polarizing fight of wills that is preventing any progress at all. For example, while both sides argue over prochoice vs. prolife children die. I'm of the opinion that we should focus on bringing the abortion rate down. Once it's extremely rare it will be easier to ban. You win a war one battle at a time. And then even if we don't win the battle to ban abortion outright, we've succeeded in reducing abortion significantly. Something bans just don't accomplish on their own.

Praise Bush! Praise Clinton! It's idolatry. They both made mistakes. I have my opinion and you have yours. The issue is where do we go as a nation from here?

Ferd,
Did you read where Ann Coulter said she would have voted for Ron Paul if he had a different foreign policy. She said she'd like to be an isolationist too, but we have airplanes and she doesn't see how that is going to work.

Just what I thought. Republicans are bad. Clinton was good. but you cannot give me a single piece of legislation that BC supported that the Republicans shot down.
not one.
nothing you have said has ANY merit.
