Which would you rather have and if you have/had your choice, which brand, model, etc. would you prefer?

I have not read through the whole thread..........
.......But I was told that a pump shot gun would be safer in the house if you had to defend your self against and intruder.
Because a big caliber hand gun will travel through walls and possibly hit your family.

Re: Handgun or Pump action rifle?
well if you liked the 357 hand gun, then get another, it is true that what you are planning to do with the weapon makes a big diff which one to get, by the way i live in god forsaken wisconsin, and we like weapons too, lol,dt

I do it all the time with no fear of shooting my foot or leg!

Thanks for the additional info, MOW!

Thanks. I hadn't thought of that. I wonder if that is why he was leaning for the pump action? He doesn't always explain every detail - oh - man involved! Hello!

I did like that .357. Being a foolish young woman I was driving to San Antonio at night in my Camero. A couple of guys in some supped up old car, probably a Monte Carlo, drove next to me and gunned their motor. I told my passenger, "There's a gun under your seat. Pick it up and hand it to me."
I pointed it at their vehicle. Sound of rubber burning - They sped on up the highway - really fast! The gun wasn't even loaded.
