In my single days (which was most of my life) there was advice I followed, MUCH more that I didn't including words of wisdom that I thought was total bunk my entire adult life until almost the literal day after the wedding.
Sad thing is is that if I was able to time travel within my own lifetime ("Quantum Leap" style) and tell my OWN YOUNGER SELF, my younger self would still not have listened.

Last time I was there LS preached a message on having power or something like that then spent the entire time preaching to women on the magic hair doctrine and I left very disappointed and wondering if because I am a man with short hair I have no angels protecting me unless I marry someone with uncut hair....

Why do married people go to a singles conference?

I am sure that "hair" will be flaunted -whether as a magical talisman or not. 
The reason I would like to be a fly on the wall, is because I really am curious as to the massive list of don'ts that will be gone through. Some of the more conservative Churches have such a laundry list that I find it completely amazing that ANYONE gets married (mainly because there not allowed to actually MEET anyone).

Re: singles conference
A couple of singles that I am well acquainted with went to this conference. The young man got the Holy Ghost for the first time and his older sister got a refilling so they are so glad they went!
Oh, these singles are below the age of 12.
