I'd like to have "Unique is My Dove" by Matisyahu played when/if I get married again.

Sooo, I was wondering what songs y'all had in your wedding.

1. The Power of Love
2. Here and Now
3. Up Where We Belong

I didn't even think to ask my pastor about his thoughts on my song selection and I might not have chosen all secular songs if I had it to do over again. But, those were the songs we chose. When I hear them, I can feel every part of the day all over again! All the tears, laughter, and joy that was shared that day! I think I was the only one NOT to cry at my wedding... LordChocolate cried like a baby! LOL

What were your songs? Christian love songs or secular?
Lady C it was 21 years agao and I am a guy. I will take a look at my wedding video.

I just got it transferred to DVD.

I'll let you know.

We had a mixture of both.

Flesh of my Flesh (Unity Candle)
Love Lift Us Up Where We belong
We Are Standing on Holy Ground (Mom's walked in)
Bless God for All He's Done (Kneeling at the alter, the Holy Ghost was very powerful during this time. We both ended up speaking in tongues. Neither my husband's or my mother is in church. My mom said she never felt the power of God so strong as at our wedding.)

We left the sanctuary to Power of Love.

Hmmmm.....we must have been married around the same time. June 4, 1988.

Diana Ross & Lionel Richie sang "My Endless Love" at our wedding. Really they did......well we eloped to Lake Tahoe and it was canned music . The guy who married us looked and sounded just like "Wolf Man Jack", it was too funny! When he was talking to us about the marriage ceremony before it started "we asked him what he said when he pronounced us Man and wife and he proceeded to tell us he said "in the name of the father, Son and Holy Ghost". We told him we did not want him to say that......the look on his face was priceless as he asked us just what we wanted him to say....He looked much more relieved when we told him we wanted him to say in "Jesus Name". Sorry for rambling but thinking about our wedding song brought back these memories. It must of worked because in August we will be married 25 years! Whoo HOO! Oh yeah, we eloped but we took my Mom and my Aunt with us as our witnesses or as my Mom said the Maid of Honor and the Photographer.

We got married in my living room. Geron Davis came and played for us; he was fifteen at the time!!! My one brother in law sang "Always and Forever" and my other one sang "My Tribute" by Andre Crouch, changing all the "I's" to "we's". It was a really neat wedding song.

I really wanted Billy Joel's song "I Love You Just the Way You Are" but my BIL had a hard time with it, so we scratched it, but I still love that song!

The year? 1978.

One wedding at JCM, the couple walked out to LW's song "It's a Wonderful Feelin' When You Know that You Found What You've Been Lookin' For". It was cute.
